This is the first door that Doug ever built. It is made out of Douglas fir, redwood, and basswood. The escutcheon was made of brass salvaged from a 1950’s dumbwaiter at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, California. The door was made for Johnny’s Hair Design in Downey, California. The exterior of the door is rough-sawn to match the building’s facade. The interior is finished in finer detail.
Etched glass by Warren Womack.
